Patricks 2nd Birthday Party

As mentioned in my last posting, we had a birthday party for Patrick yesterday. It was a small gathering of 15 close family members, which seemed like three times that number if you factor in the average volume of each person rivalling the decibal level of a jet engine. Before everyone showed up around 2pm, we gave Partick his present of a train table – like a Thomas the Tank Engine one, but the much cheaper, Toys R Us version. He absolutley loved it, and had difficulty leaving it to do birthday party type stuff. He received a couple well thought out gifts, had a Thomas the Tank Engine cake, and got to run around outside and play in his sand box.

He always loves seeing his cousins (Ava, Kaitlyn, Sullivan, Isabella, and Jacob) and plays with each person differently which is very interesting to observe. Stephanies sisters spent the night as they all went to an overnight spa vacation Sunday to Monday leaving Patrick and me to hang out all day, which was awesome. We had a super lazy Sunday playing with his birthday presents and running around in the backyard. Tomorrow, (Sept 19th), will be his actual birthday, so we’re taking him out to dinner to his favorite restaurant… Harvey’s.
