This past weekend, fellow photographer and long time friend Mike Pereira, executive director of the Mike Pereira Photography blog, and I embarked upon an epic quest. A quest that brought together two amateur photographers on a camping trip in Killbear Provincial Park on the shores of Georgian Bay, Ontario. We came, we saw, we took pictures. The trip had been about 5 months in the making and we were rewarded with fantastic weather, little bugs, and colourful sunrises and sunsets.
Mike has been doing photography as a hobby for a couple years longer than me, and is a great person to bounce ideas off. I thought I’d share this photo of Mike scouting the shores in search for a location to setup our sunset shots, not only because he’s one of my best friends, but also because today is his birthday. Happy birthday fella!
