Last night our camera club began the first of three nights that focus on low light photography. All our shots from last night were illuminated by candles, so it was a good practice at understanding how to set up your camera to get sharp images in low light. I must admit that the subject matter was quite corny. Other setups included candle holders, roses, wine, etc. The one below is of stuff I personally brought from home. If you’re wondering why that scotch looks lighter than normal, it’s because the scotch is long gone, and I replaced it with apple juice.

This shot was mainly illuminated by candles behind the bottle and glass. Kind of sappy, but it was a worthwhile exercise.

44mm; f/6.3; 4s; ISO 100
