I’m learning something very quickly – it’s harder to photograph trains than I initially thought. There are several factors to consider including time of day, lighting, their speed, surroundings, and most importantly, location. Trying to put all these things together is becoming a challenge.
This morning before work I headed to East City as I know there’s an 8:00am train that rolls through town. I had planned on improving on my shot from last week, but there were workers on the bridge, so I had to move down the street to the next crossing. By doing so, I was shooting at an angle I hadn’t planned on, and the sun being quite bright was casting big shadows. I might try this shot again later in the week. I like a good challenge.
