Three Seconds

At our camera club meeting the other night, one of the items setup to shoot was a small pocket watch. Reminding me of the one that was in our house growing up I was immediately drawn to it. I took a couple shots before realizing that the second hand was actually moving. I experimented with the timing and found that at about a 3 second worked great. Any quicker and it didn’t appear to move, and any longer and the second hand seemed to disappear. I like the subtle motion blur in this shot. It’s all about timing.
