Ice Flow on the Otonabee River

Over the past week, I’ve witnessed the ice slowly breaking apart on the Otonabee River in Peterborough. I walk along the river every day, but it wasn’t until I saw a similar photo from Nora Mickee showing the slabs of ice that got me thinking that this might look half decent in black and white. So yesterday morning on the walk to work, I walked along the pedestrian bridge and snapped this shot. I think the black and white really highlights the shapes of the ice against the dark waters.
