2016 Summer Vacation

It’s been a while since I posted something. I was on a roll for a while, but I guess life got in the way. Anyways, we returned from our family vacation a couple weeks back and these are some of my favourite shots I thought I’d share. This year, our family along with 3 others rented a cottage north of Orillia on Lake St. John. There were 16 of us in total – 8 adults, 8 kids. It was destined to be pure madness. Instead, it turned out to be pure awesomeness. Spending 8 days and 7 nights with the same 16 people would drive most people crazy, but somehow, we managed to pull it off.

We spent time lounging around the cottage, at the farmers market, at the beach, a day at Santa’s Village in Bracebridge, and even a couple hours at Casino Rama. The kids got to go fishing, biking and for canoe rides – even though most days were super windy. Every night after the kids went to bed, the grown-ups would break out a different boardgame. We played everything including Nightmare, Pandemic, Scotland Yard, Exploding Kittens, and Fireball Island. When it rained, it only rained for a couple minutes, and the rest of the week was warm and sunny.

This was something that our family won’t soon forget and would totally be up for doing again in the future.
