At the beginning of July, our camera club visited a local garden store called Gardens Plus. The owners were gracious enough to let about 20 photographers walk about the property with tripods and gear to try and capture some interesting photos. I saw this as a perfect opportunity to get out with the Crown Graphic and 4 sheets of Fomapan 200 to see what I could capture. I’ve mainly been using this camera to handhold shots, so it was much different to set it up on a tripod and take a significant amount of time framing and focusing each photo. In the 1.5 hours we were there, I managed to just get 4 photos, and one of those was a double. It took probably 15-20 minutes to set up the camera, compose the subject, set up the movements, meter the light, load the film and take the shot. Plus, I enjoyed chatting with other members of the club.
Below are the 3 shots taken on the outing. I’m really happy with how they turned out, because the sun was super bright adding crazy contrast to each scene.
