For several years now, I’ve created an end of the year wrap up blog post with some things I’m looking forward to in the next year. This year I didn’t take as many photos as in previous years and tried to focus more (pun intended) on making meaningful photos. I can look back at each photo and know that it represents an outing or some specific thing I was doing at the time… if that makes sense. Some highlights from this year included a trip to New York City, Ottawa, and a week at a cottage with 15 other people. Below is a smattering of photos from this past year that I’m pretty proud how they turned out or represent a memorable moment.
For 2020, I’m looking forward to creating more memorable photos and would like to work on my story telling through photography. This concept of taking a photo journalistic style to picture taking has always intrigued me and I’d like to explore that more. Also looking at downgrading my camera collection as I have a ton of cameras that don’t work or I never use. I want to turn my attention to keeping my most used film cameras operational and hope to breathe some light into a couple cameras that have fallen to the wayside. Happy New Years everyone and thanks for visiting!
